The Center for Advancing Children's  Mental Health (CACMH):

...Putting Science to Work!

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Behavioral Therapy (BT)
  • Parent Managment Training (PMT)
  • Safe and effective use of medications
  • Parent support, engagement, and self-advocacy.

Trainings are initially delivered on site, with sustained follow-up & phone consultation support.  Trainings are of special value to:

  • Individual clinicians
  • Health care organizations
  • Schools
  • Child welfare agencies
  • Juvenile justice workers
  • Family advocates

The Center for Advancing Children's Mental Health (CACMH) is committed to ensuring that families with a child or youth with behavioral, learning, or emotional problems can get state-of-the art mental health care, right in their own communities.

Government-sponsored studies have determined that it takes about 15-20 years for new research findings to reach local communities where families have access to them. In the life of a rapidly developing child, this delay severely compromises the    quality of mental health services children receive, adding even greater burdens to them and their families.

Drawing upon its teams of experts from the nation's best universities, CACMH provides hands-on training across the US in the latest diagnostic, assessment, and treatment interventions to primary care clinicians, health care organizations, mental health specialists, educational professionals, and family advocates.
